Dr Sven A Obholzer

Dr Sven Obholzer is a highly skilled ophthalmologist with over 13 years of experience in the field of eye care and microsurgery.
Born and raised in Namibia, he pursued his medical degree and specialist training at Stellenbosch University’s Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town. In 2012, he earned his Master’s Degree in Medicine (Ophthalmology) and was awarded a Fellowship from the College of Ophthalmologists of South Africa (FC Ophth).
Dr. Obholzer has a special interest in retinal surgery, cataract procedures, and anterior segment surgery, and is known for applying minimally invasive, modern techniques with precision and compassion.
He is the founder of the Namibia Eye Institute, where he provides advanced ophthalmic services using the state-of-the-art theatres at Lady Pohamba Private Hospital (LPPH).
Committed to excellence and patient-centered care, Dr Sven continues to help patients preserve and restore their sight through evidence-based treatments and highly personalised care.
